Vintage Design
Starting from the mid-1960s, Carlo Nason, a leading figure in the world of glass design in Murano, especially in his collaboration with the Mazzega glassworks, began working on projects for table lamps, entirely in modular glass elements.
These lamps had a thin metal base, with the lamp holder, holding four vertical bars, which served as a support/structure for the glass elements, in this case square ones, to be overlapped, to create a cube, or parallelepiped, where the metal base is no longer visible.
Different types of glass were used, often in blue, on transparent glass, to form a sort of decomposable colored pattern.
The lamp we present is made of pulegoso (sponge) glass with six elements.
The glass is in perfect condition; the lamp was re-wired.
