The Arco floor lamp, designed in the 1960s by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, is a sleek blend of style and function. Original manufacturer label preserved.

The lamp is an excellent example of Italian modern mid-century design, showing the monumentum and simplicity in one. with a slim stainless steel stem curving from a Carrara marble base, it holds a chrome-plated aluminum dome that casts a soft, adjustable glow. Crafted with care, this lamp is a testament to the Castiglioni brothers’ design skills.

The lamp is absolutely iconic, and when we see a lamp in interiors from the 70s or Italian ones from the Mid-century period, it’s most often the Arco lamp or a more or less successful copy of it. The marble base weighs 60kg, and the hole in it is used for carrying by two people; this can be done, for example, with the help of a broomstick handle.

The mix of materials, from the smooth marble to the aluminum pendant, makes it not just a light but a beautifully crafted object. As night falls, the Arco lamp comes alive, turning any space into an elegant haven. The swiveling telescopic arm makes it easy to direct the light in the desired position.

The lamp is in original vintage condition with minor traces of use, like light imperfections and patina on steel. Original wiring with 370 long cord and foot switch. The lamp requires e27 bulb.
