Gloria (Fischer) Dudfield

Came from a portfolio of her work in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Gloria had a Master of Arts degree from the Art Institute of San Francisco. She also earned a California teaching credential for adult education in 1977. She worked mainly in oils and ceramics. She exhibited with many of the most notable painters of the Bay Area Figurative Movement, Elmer Bischoff, David Park, Frank Lobdell, James Weeks, etc.

Elyse Gerard, known for her landscapes, portraits and still lifes, uses oil on mounted linen. Water Lilies at Noon is just one example of her impressionist depictions of flora. Deferring her painting career, Elyse spent 18 years on Wall Street. In 2001 she moved to Greenbrier County, WV. She, like so many people, has been inspired by the natural beauty of the area, and finally was able to channel more energy into her art.

This oil painting mounted on linen is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.

Carved and gilded wooden and plaster frame of beautiful decoration with some signs of aging. Nice size and pleasant decor painting, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of antique portraits. Framework on the first canvas that has two small drops of color in the lower part (see picture) and a tiny hole (not photographable on account of the size of the hole) located between the hair and the left shoulder of the lady.
