This exquisite piece represents the head of a bearded faun, clearly depicted with his goat horns and elongated ears. The faun was the Roman equivalent of the ancient Greek satyr, a mythological half human-half goat creature, manifestation of forest and animal spirits that would help or hinder humans at whim. The use of bronze with the lost-wax casting technique and a green patina resting on a marble pedestal, adds a touch of classical allure to any decor.

Large fiberglass winged griffin or gryphon a legendary creature with a body, tail, and back legs of a lion, head and wings of an eagle and the eagles talons as its front feet. Because the lion was considered the king of the beasts and the eagle king of the birds by the middle ages, the Griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Traditionally known for guarding treasures and possessions, griffins are also protectors from evil and stand for courage, leadership and strength. The original Griffin was made of a cast terracotta and stone from an estate in upstate New York . It is also available in pairs and a great piece for a garden or driveway entrance.

21st Century Tuscan Terra Cotta Statue of a Fisher Boy

A 19th Century style Italian garden statue in Tuscan terra cotta clay. This very decorative statuette shows a young boy barefoot fishing dressed with short pants with nicely detailed folds. The hat is placed over his curly hair. His facial expression is happy as he is holding the freshly caught fish tightly. The statue is raised on a short Tuscan plinth with podded décor. Heavy top rim and bottom rim is decorated with multiple bevels. Hand modeled and fired out of the prestigious Italian Galestro terracotta clay. Wear consistent with age and use.

James de Wulf Concrete Standing Stone Sculpture

This was inspired by the French comic Obelix. I wanted to make a standing stone that floats and feels peaceful. After making it, I am reminded of the alien ship in the movie Arrival. I’m very happy with this piece and the way it feels when standing. I look forward to making more standing stones.”
The piece is a brutal monolith with a feminine shape; imagined in the likeness of an alien mile marker. The piece is mounted with a solid stainless steel bar to achieve an impossible floating effect. This heavy, floating, grounded piece intends to bring a sense of calm. It invokes feelings of perpetual movement as it appears to float, all the while standing still.
