19th Century Flemish Cabinet ~ Confiturier features tailored lines accentuated by the top surface which is surrounded by flared out, then flared in molding for a dominant presence. Lions’ heads appear on the corners just under the top, each holding a brass ring, and flanking the single drawer fitted with a turned wood knob. Geometric molding design with pyramidal insets define the front, with a large cabinet door designed to be opened with a key. Very possibly originally designed as a music cabinet, but with its solid oak construction, it will surely last another century or so, and will provide all sorts of functions to the lucky family that acquires it, and do so in stately style!

Direct from England, a quite unique antique cabinet, with venerable British charm, and a versatile small size that lend it to so many uses in today’s home or office!

Well finished, with Jacobean beaded trim around all edges of the four drawer fronts; each drawer has dual brass pulls on the ‘drop fronts’ that independently drop down and allow for the drawer to be pulled out on original slides.
A scalloped lower apron, British ‘bobbin’ turned legs and lower shelf for additional storage and display complete the cabinet’s distinctive look.

Of course, this cabinet would be well suited for sheet music, for office papers, and we also love this design for jewelry or collectibles!
