Most feature fascinating tipping movements as well as articulated mouth movements and arm movements. Comes with two Lucite Display Stands each measuring (14″ h x 7″ d x 24″ w). 1910’s bronze bookends by Armor Bronze featuring a seated reading monk .
These bookends are in red and bronze with white book pages.
The company we know as Armor Bronze started as The National Metalizing Company. While some folks seem to think that the company was in business as far back as 1880, our research leads us to believe 1910 is closer to the actual founding date. Bronze was then electro formed onto the plaster mold. This was extremely innovative in the 1920’s. Unfortunately, it was also very costly for labor and materials. Some bookends could take as long as three days to be completed. They created some of the most detailed and sought after bookends we have today.
They are in good antique condition- normal wear sign due to age on the finish- both has some loss to it’s surface color which is very normal compare to their age.
Measurement: 7.5” H x 4” W x 4” D / each.
It’s very heavy, more than 7 pound the pair.

It features a soft and textured charcoal fabric exterior with decorative trim and a hard shell interior. This is a gorgeous shade!

A letterpress poster by American artist Carl Pope (born 1961). The poster depicts the phrase, “It’s Worth It Let Me Work It!” in silver and red text upon a white ground. The poster is in reference to Missy Elliott’s 2002 hip hop song “Work It,” specifically the chorus with lyrics “Is it worth it? Let me work it/I put my thang down, flip it and reverse it.” The poster is marked “York Show Print P.O. Box 154 York, AL 36925” along the bottom edge.

Carl Pope was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University. He is widely known for his ongoing installation posters, “The Bad Air Smelled of Roses”. Pope is devoted to creating art that stimulates individual and collective metamorphosis.
