Hand Carved Monk Chair, 1960s, in Good conditions. Designed 1950 to 1959

This Kill 6727, the so-called Bird or Tulip chair, is the hard-to-find version of an office chair with height adjustment. The blue leather comes in excellent condition with beautiful patina and minimal signs of wear. The chrome frame with smooth-running wheels shows hardly any signs of aging. The hydraulic height adjustment works perfectly and allows a seat height of 43 – 51 cm.

This Kill version is the older original version designed by Kastholm&Fabricius for Alfred Kill International. These chairs were continued to be produced by Knoll in a later version. The designer duo Jorgen Kasthom & Preben Fabricius designed these chairs in the style of functional, aesthetic Scandinavian design in the 1960s and created an absolute design icon. This beautiful ergonomic “Do More Chair” was designed by Tan Sad in England in about 1920. The luxurious “do more chair” was far ahead of its time. In the Netherlands, this chair was marketed by Ahrend. It can swivel and both the back and seat are adjustable. The chair also has wheels. The chair is in very good condition for its age. with appropriate patina. The dimensions are: 80 cm height – 41 cm wide – 40 cm depth 43 – 59 cm seat height This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

The design of chair no. 233 by Thonet dates from 1895. This chair with hand-woven rattan seat features a Thonet stamp and a paper Thonet label from after 1920. In good condition. The chair has a new handwoven rattan seat. Normal traces of age and use.
