A uniquely charming vintage flat-weave (kilim) from Turkey handwoven in three separate bands and hand-stitched together. The traditional blue beads, which are evil eye talismans, strung on a specially made twisted thread across the width of the field, the fishbone-shaped vertical intermittent hand-stitches as well as the delightful colorful fringes made from cotton rag ends that heavily decorate the top half of the field, add a lot to the appeal of this kilim. The color palette is also very lively with deep reds and burgundy against more soothing sage green, beige and solid black.
Made of hand-spun sheep’s wool, this eye-catching flat-weave is light and sturdy. It can be used as a floor covering, wall-hanging or as well as a bed or sofa throw. Measures: 4.3 x 5 ft.
