This is one of the greatest American painted Parcheesi boards extant. The fine quality of this is unmatched by anything I have seen in recent years. The attractive nature of the painted images of cherubs in the center square, flanked by decoratively stylized letters to form the word “Home”, are joined by a trumpeted leaf-and-vine with grapes. There are at least 12 colors, expertly shaded to lend depth that compliments the designs. All-in-all, a masterpiece among American game boards and a trophy for the advanced collector.
Condition: Excellent with light, expected wear. There is an age crack in the wide softwood plank.
