Bentwood Dining Chairs with Rattan Seats from Cosmos, 1930s, Set of 4

Little is known about “Cosmos”. This Polish company probably existed in the late 19th and first half of the 20th century and produced a number of Thonet models, including Thonet folding chair B 751.

The chairs in this set correspond to the well-known model no. 233 from Thonet, but without the added extra backrest. Wood and rattan in good condition. Nice patina, especially on the armrests. Stamped “Cosmos – Made in Poland” under the seat. This piece has an attribution mark,
