An English unusual two-tiered trolley with turned legs, carved medallions and casters from the mid-19th century. This English wooden trolley features a rectangular top with beveled edges, surrounded by a tall back three-quarter gallery. The eye is immediately drawn to this nicely scrolled back, accented by a carved medallion in its center. These exquisite curves are reprised on the apron of each shelf, thus creating a visual harmony. This piece is raised on four tall turned legs, whose block joints are adorned with additional medallions. The four large casters on which the trolley is resting allow the piece to be moved easily. With its unusual Silhouette and lovely patina, this English wooden trolley circa 1840 will complement any dining or living room beautifully.
