This English brass horse from the mid-19th century features black eagle, a horse belonging to circus proprietors John and George Sanger. The highly trained horse, who danced to music, performed in front of Queen Victoria. This lovely brass ornament has been mounted in a wooden custom-made shadowbox type frame of black color. The horse is depicted prancing and is raised on a base made of exquisite volutes, engraved with his name. Each corner of the frame is adorned with foliage motifs. The simplicity and dark color of the frame and background allow the central theme, the famous horse, to stand out beautifully.
