Delphin Massier (1836 – 1907) – Grande Colonne ” Heron et Papillons”. Pair of columns with herons by Massier, Each column is topped with a vase decorated with flowers and reminds of the traditional majolica work found in the Mediterranean. Created by Delphin Massier (1836-1907) in the town of Vallauris, where his family had lived for generations, these pieces show an exuberance and a passion for the local flora and fauna. Both columns decorated with herons This set of columns were such a successful model that in Massier’s posthumous product catalogue of 1908 they are offered in various sizes. Size:115 cm high and 55 cm diameter.Made in enameled ceramic. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
