A 1970s interpretation of a 17th century Bird/chicken incense burner from the region of Khorasan in Afganistan. It stands peculiar yet proud. Its made from solid brass – partially perforated allowing the incense to spread in the room. Distinct islamic styling – folkish manner. The particular example was brought home from Afganistan during the 1970s by a Danish traveler. It has no apparent markings. Measurements: 15x15x10 cm.
