This altar balustrade was created in France circa 1850. Built of oak wood and over four feet long, the railing with rounded corners stands on small bracket feet over a thick bottom plinth. The architecture element features five vertical turned balusters over a top surface. The narrow spindle table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bleached patinated finish. Versatile, this church trestle balustrade could be used as a console, as a room divider or as grill cover. A very unique piece!
