An Italian large-sized gilt-wood sunburst with mirror from the 19th century. This antique wall ornament from Italy features a serious of carved-wood, gold gilt rays shooting outwardly (in undulating lengths), with a round-shaped mirror anchored within its center. The wood has a lovely old patina throughout, and there are some hints of red that show through from beneath in some areas. There are some areas of wood losses, which can be seen in more detail in the photographs. The mirror center is a newer addition and not original to this piece. Please note that this mirror has been photographed with its added wood support braces (used for shipping and while in storage), therefore those would be removed prior to installation. This 19th century Italian gilded ray mirror would be a great way to add a pop of lightness & color, with architectural interest to your wall. This is a large-sized sunburst; approximately 5.25 feet wide by 6 feet tall.<\/span><\/p>\n
