\n A fine antique Satsuma ware porcelain teacup or chawan.<\/p>\n

By Shuzan.<\/p>\n

With a cream ground and an entirely gilt exterior covered with extensive floral decoration of various flowers in reds, blues, greens, yellows, and pinks. <\/p>\n

The rim is gilt and has a brown border and footrim has a black border.<\/p>\n

Marked to the base for Shuzan (秀山).<\/p>\n

Simply a wonderful tea bowl or cup!<\/p>\n

Early 20th Century<\/p>\n

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.<\/p>\n

Condition Details:
There are two spots of staining to the interior bowl, some very minor losses to the enamel decoration on the rim. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.<\/p>\n

Marked to the base with Shuzan’s maker’s mark (秀山)<\/p>\n
