\n Ilya Bolotowsky (1907-1980) was a Russian-American artist who emigrated from St. Petersburg to New York City in 1923. He was know for his geometric abstract styles, and was influenced by Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. With many credits to his name, Bolotowsky was given his first one-man show in 1974 at the Guggenheim Museum. His “tondo period” was the 1960s, and this yellow tondo silkscreen was likely created around 1968. This work is signed and numbered.<\/p>\n
